1The brief
Elise buys grower-direct and genuinely follows the seasons, but her old site did not show it. Every bouquet looked the same all year round, the same grid, the same tone, so the thing that actually made Mayflower special, flowers cut this week and delivered same day, was buried. She wanted the season and the grower link right at the front, not hidden three clicks deep.
2What we built
We built an editorial shop in cream and rose around a refined serif wordmark, led by a rotating seasonal edit. The home page opens on 'The Peony Edit' with the line 'Peonies are back in season', a soft hero of a peony bouquet held in the arms, and two clear paths in, Shop Peonies or Shop All. A quiet row of four promises sits underneath, direct from the grower, same-day London delivery, flowers on subscription and handwritten gift notes, and the full seasonal catalogue runs through it, with weekly and fortnightly subscriptions in their own tab.
3The result
The shop now tells the truth about what is in bloom, and Elise can swap the edit as the season turns instead of leaving one look up for months. Subscriptions come in steadily rather than one-off orders alone, and the grower story people used to only hear in person is doing the selling on the page. It reads like the grown-up, understated shop she always described.
“My flowers were always seasonal and grower-direct, the old site just never said so. Now the season leads the whole page and people finally get what makes us different before they even scroll.”
